Enterprise Green Communities 2012 IECC Energy Code

The project requires a HERS rating energy model which is being performed by McGrann in order to ensure that the building achieves 20% better performance than code minimum requirements.

The project is utilizing R-10 slab edge insulation, 1" closed cell with batts in exterior wall cavities, 0.29 U-Value vinyl windows, R-49 blown-in batt attic insulation, 15-Seer heat pumps, 0.93 Energy Factor hot water heaters, Energy Star appliances, 100% fluorescent lighting, Energy Star bath fans, and building air sealant measures to achieve this rating. Other green design elements of this project include extensive on-site bio-retention facilities for storm water management, low-flow plumbing fixtures and NAUF cabinet construction.
