Village Crossroads is a new independent living apartment community consisting of 180 apartments in two buildings. The Phase I building was completed in June of 2013 and Phase II in spring of 2014. Extensive bioretention was utilized for stormwater management, including micro bioretention rain gardens. In addition to the common area spaces, a new amenity being provided by this client is all-building Wi-Fi.
The exterior wall features R33 closed cell foam, the roof is made of solar reflective shingles, and car charging stations are available in the parking lot. The project is registered for LEED for NC certification and is funded by the HUD 202 program.
