Suffield Meadows is a new 67-unit Assisted Living and Memory Support facility for Fauquier Health System. The building consists of Assisted Living Units (ALUs), a wing for dementia patients, common areas, including living rooms, dining rooms, bistro, activity rooms, wellness area, commercial kitchen, administrative area, various support spaces, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing spaces.
The brick veneered building is two stories at the rear and one story at the main entry level. The Hambro floor system and metal roof trusses are supported by 6″ metal stud bearing walls and steel beams and columns. Sitework included relocating existing utilities and working around a pump station. Construction of site retaining walls and building foundation walls was done in phases due to extremely tight site conditions.
