Twinbrook Station Phase 1A

Twinbrook Station, a joint development between The JBG Companies and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, is a transit-oriented development project on 26 acres surrounding the Twinbrook Metro Station in Rockville, Maryland. The total project build-out will include approximately 325,000 sq. ft. of office space, 220,000 sq. ft. of ground floor retail, and 1,595 multi-family residential units, 15 percent of which will be affordable housing.

Phase 1A, The Alaire at Twinbrook Station, includes 279 luxury apartments, 16,500 sq. ft. of retail and restaurant space, and a six-story, 336-space parking garage. The apartment buildings have underground parking for 90 cars.

The Alaire is the first building completed within the Washington area’s first LEED Gold Neighborhood Development (LEED-ND). Twinbrook Station is one of only a handful of LEED Gold certified Neighborhood Development projects in the nation. The LEED-ND rating system combines the principles of smart growth, new urbanism and green design all in one.
