Fulton-Gethsemane Village

Fulton-Gethsemane Village, also known as Penn Square II, represents the second and final phase of the Penn Square apartment complex. The building was named in honor of the community’s two oldest churches – Fulton Baptist Church and Gethsemane Baptist Church. The four/five-story split wood frame building offers 61 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments with modern amenities, secure parking, a community room, a computer lab and library, and two commercial spaces. Of the 61 apartments, seven are ADA equipped to accommodate residents with disabilities.

The site created the biggest challenges for this project. Sheathing and shoring were installed along Pennsylvania Avenue in order to construct the basement level. In addition, the site required remediation work to improve soil conditions.

The project was built to Baltimore City Green Building Standards.
