Edgewood Commons I

The renovations at Edgewood Commons I, formerly Edgewood Terrace I, included both interior and exterior upgrades to an eight-story building with 220 units and six three-story garden apartment buildings totaling 72 units. Because this was a tenant-in-place renovation, Harkins was only able to work in small portions of the building at a time, which made coordination critical.p>

In addition to the apartment renovations, we also revitalized various portions of the site, including new outdoor amenities such as water features, play equipment, a community garden, outdoor assembly areas, and a fitness trail.

Green elements included upgrading mechanical systems, duct lining systems, low-flow fixtures, Energy Star appliances, energy-efficient lighting, and low-VOC paints, adhesives, and sealants.
