Bob
has 30 years of construction experience. He came to Harkins as a site manager
in 1978 and was promoted to project manager in 1981, initially concentrating
efforts on projects in the Norfolk, VA area. He was promoted to senior project
manager in 1989 and in 1990 he became a construction vice president. In January
of 2005 Bob was promoted to senior vice president.
As a
construction vice president, Bob has successfully completed many projects in
Baltimore, Washington, and Pennsylvania. He continues to explore new
territories throughout the mid-Atlantic and out of the country. Bob has
extensive experience in life-care projects including independent living,
assisted living, and nursing care. He has also done several historic rehabs in
the city of Baltimore and design-build work for the Corps of Engineers.
Bob's
experience with government entities such as HUD and CDA, as well as, working
with non-profits has given him a thorough knowledge of the various programs and
special needs these types of projects require. Another strength of Bob's is his
constant communication with the client and his willingness to do the little
things outside the norm to satisfy their needs.
