David
joined Harkins in 1978 on a part-time basis while completing his bachelor of
science degree in business administration at Loyola College in Baltimore, MD.
In 1982, he joined Harkins full-time working in the field in various capacities
until the spring of 1989 when he was promoted to project manager. In July of
1999, Dave was promoted to vice president. His first responsibility as vice
president was the Salisbury State Student Housing project, consisting of 144
garden style units.
Dave is a strong member of the Harkins team who provides excellent
client service and brings a lot of enthusiasm to the job. He has worked on many
successful projects, both public and private, and his specific experience
includes high-rise residential, wood-framed elderly, masonry bearing
dormitories, commercial kitchens, assisted and comprehensive life-care, and
military housing. In addition to new construction, Dave has also managed
occupied renovations and completed five design/build projects.
